As far as I can tell there are no patches related to parental control. Does MythTV from rpmfusion contain any patches?

No, it doesn't.

I have even posted on the main mythtv list to see if anyone else is seeing this problem. The only responses I received were other minimyth users.

Pablo,

This should be pretty easy to reproduce.

In setup, add a passcode for level 4 for parental controls.

Then go into MythVideo and press '4'. if it prompts you for the passcode, then all is well. If it highlights a folder, then you are seeing the issue.

I am running MythTV 0.24, so testing anything in MiniMyth that is MythTV version specific for a version of MythTV that is not 0.24 is a problem.

We need to get you upgraded to 0.26 :)

Do you have any suggestions on how to go about debugging this further?

I have only been able to reproduce it on minimyth, and the smaller environment seems to make it more challenging for me to debug.

Warpme found the source of this and fixed it in minimyth2. It was caused by the speed-up myth-ui list browse patch.
