S3 suspend not working on xs35gtv2 ?

Post by bowmo » Fri Jun 22, 2012 9:37 pm

I'm trying to get powerstate S3 to work in minimyth wiht my shuttle xs35gtv2

if I issue mm_sleep (as root) from telnet, then it just stops X, and a blinking cursor is shown in upper left corner of the screen. It doesn't seem to enter S3 state at all

Any one with a similair setup, that got it working?

Tried booting openelec on the box, here suspend / resume is working fine. So expect that something is missing in mm

I know that normaly it is working, as my old retired via epia frontend worked with suspend / resume in minimyth

Any where I should look for info, settings etc?

Typically the problem with wake is the result of video or other drivers. When this is the problem, unloading the driver before suspending and loading the driver after waking makes it work. Do you know whether or not openelec is unloading any drivers?

Also, kernel drivers are constantly improving and occasionally breaking. Therefore, the difference in driver versions could account for the differences. What kernel version and NVIDIA driver version is openelec using?
MiniMyth running on an Acer ApireRevo 3610 and a Zotac ZBOX-ID80-U. Find out more at my MythTV page.

Just checked openelec, they are running kernel 3.2.17, and nvidia 295.53 (according to their website)

Just downloaded 25-81, so giving that a spin and see what happens..
