Gar Build Shortcuting?

Post by jamesarbrown » Thu Jun 14, 2012 7:45 pm

Hi Pablo,

Is there anyway of rebuilding for example perl-Minimyth without the entire package.

In the source directory

Code: Select all

rm -rf perl-Minimyth*
In the script/perl/perl-Minimyth directory following edit of Minimyth.pm

Code: Select all

make clean
make makesum
make
which rebuilds the package ok.

I then in the meta/minimyth directory issued

Code: Select all

make clean
make build
but this is the step where I am wrong. Somewhere after rebuilding the package the images directory needs flushing and recreating, so that make build gets the new image..... but I can not see where it is created to start with.

Is there any way this can be done... emptying the images directory does not work and breaks the make build command.

Just seems a shame to issue a top level make clean, as a full make takes approx 16 hours. :(

Running

Code: Select all

make clean
make install
in the perl/perl-MiniMyth directory followed by

Code: Select all

make clean
make build
in the meta/minimyth directory should work.
MiniMyth running on an Acer ApireRevo 3610 and a Zotac ZBOX-ID80-U. Find out more at my MythTV page.
