Updated Codecs

Post by jamesarbrown » Sat Dec 24, 2011 1:38 pm

Hi Pablo,

I had a very strange issue with a DVD (others worked) that reported it could not find a codec and bugged out. (AFD Error: Could not find codec parameters. file was....)

Looking at the codecs being pulled in by "Fetch and Save Codecs" from myplayer.hu, it is a stable 2007 version, so I manually pulled down http://www.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/release ... 31.tar.bz2 created a squashsfs into conf-rw and it worked.

Perhaps a newer version of codecs can be put into testing releases?

Could you see whether or not the current MiniMyth (-79) works without the need for additional binary codecs as it has an updated FFmpeg?
MiniMyth running on an Acer ApireRevo 3610 and a Zotac ZBOX-ID80-U. Find out more at my MythTV page.
