"defaulting variables" takes _forever_

Post by zond » Sat May 03, 2008 1:41 pm

When I boot, it stops at "defaulting variables" and stops there for at least 10 minutes.

I have added debug output, and it seems like it is when calling "conf_default_MM_THEME" that it stops.

Anyone has any idea why?

conf_default_MM_THEME connects to the

If MM_THEMECACHE_URL is not set (or set to auto) then conf_default_MM_THEME to the MySQL database as part of the MM_THEMECACHE_URL determination process. There could be a problem with connecting to the database.

If you set MM_THEMECACHE_URL='none', then it will not try to figure out a value for MM_THEMECACHE_URL. If that lets you get further then the problem is with connecting to the database.

Thanks! That worked perfectly! Now I just have to determine what causes the next problem :)

But I am well on my way :D
