Sound driver not loaded for VIA EPIA ML6000EAG (VT8235M)

Post by zherlock » Mon Jun 16, 2008 1:07 pm

Sound module is not loaded (error reported in boot)

Hardware:
http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/mainb ... ard_id=301

Chipset:
VIA VT8235M South Bridge

I was under the impression that this was supported, on minimyth webpage it is said that EPIA M is supported, which has the same South Bridge.

What am I missing here?
In config I have set AUDIO to "Analog" and "AUTO" for card number and the other seting I can't remember :P

I just built my minimyth yesterday with the current, using the automateed option (mm_local_install). It is version 0.21.<something>

Thanks for your reply!

What is the error message?

Could you telnet into the frontend as user 'root' and provide the output of

Code: Select all

lspci -mn
MiniMyth running on an Acer ApireRevo 3610 and a Zotac ZBOX-ID80-U. Find out more at my MythTV page.

Actually, I myself is not able to identify the AUDIO adapter from this PCI listing. Hmm, I need to check my bios (?) Checking..

AC 97 audio was actually set to "Disabled". Set to "auto". Testing..
