Startup hang on svn trunk.19310-61 w/out mouse installed

Post by goldwein » Sat Dec 13, 2008 11:43 pm

I get the following error in the log on boot during "processing configuration file":
Can't use string ("0") as an ARRAY ref while "strict refs" in use at /etc/rc.d/init/conf/MM_X.pm line 123, <FILE> line 24.
FWIW, there is no mouse installed on my system.

Any suggestions?

That seems odd as none of my systems have mice.

However, could you try the latest test build (62b6)?

There was a bug in MiniMyth::detect_state_get that would cause an error like that. Basically, when no device was detected, MiniMyth::detect_state_get would return a null scalar even when it should have been returning an empty array. It should be fixed by the combination of SVN commits r4045 and r4065.
MiniMyth running on an Acer ApireRevo 3610 and a Zotac ZBOX-ID80-U. Find out more at my MythTV page.
