Ethernet card driver e100 removed?

Post by anma70 » Tue Sep 22, 2009 12:00 pm

I upgraded from 21.0-57 to latest (21.0-69) and discovered that it seems to be missing the e100 driver as it halts during and complains that it cant find it, I also tried the latest unstable but had the same problem so I reverted to version 57 again. Is there something I can do about this (patch or something) or should I just go hunt for a new network card?

Thanks for a extremely nice software and an excellent work!

The driver is included. However, it appears that a kernel configuration option was added in 2.6.27 that allows you to not include the necessary firmware in the kernel image. As it was disabled, e100 firmware was missing. Hopefully, this is the cause. I will build a new test image with the configuration option enabled.
