syslinux hangs at boot:

Post by nickrout » Sun Sep 27, 2009 7:10 am

Booting from cf disk on a cf-ide convertor, I get the boot: prompt and it just sits there. If I hit <enter> it boots correctly but its a pain having to hit the <enter> key.

Just to add that this is on a via epia m9000 board, if that triggers any memories?

From syslinux configuration
PROMPT flag_val

If flag_val is 0, display the boot: prompt only if the Shift or Alt key is pressed, or Caps Lock or Scroll lock is set (this is the default). If flag_val is 1, always display the boot: prompt.
Are any of these (Shift or Alt pressed, or Caps or Scroll Lock set) true for your keyboard? Often computers boot with scroll lock set.
MiniMyth running on an Acer ApireRevo 3610 and a Zotac ZBOX-ID80-U. Find out more at my MythTV page.
