0.22 mm_local_install ramdisk size

Post by carbs » Sun Oct 25, 2009 9:11 am

Hi all,

I noticed when using the mm_local_install script to install a 0.22 frontend that the ramdisk is not big enough, by default it is set to 96MB. Using the default I would get an unable to mount root filesystem kernel panic.

To fix the issue I edited the syslinux.cfg on the USB stick and changed the line:

Code: Select all

APPEND ro root=/dev/ram0 ramdisk_size=96000 initrd=rootfs
To:

Code: Select all

APPEND ro root=/dev/ram0 ramdisk_size=128000 initrd=rootfs
I hope this helps anyone else having a similar problem.

Odd, I had thought that the default image was still less than 90,000KB.
MiniMyth running on an Acer ApireRevo 3610 and a Zotac ZBOX-ID80-U. Find out more at my MythTV page.
