Could you provide the output of "lspci -mn"?

Do you see anything obvious in /var/log/Xorg.0.0.log?

How are you connecting (e.g. VGA)?

If you telnet/ssh into the frontend, run the commands

Code: Select all

mm_service x stop
rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf
mm_service x start
then does it work?

Tried did not work. Connecting via VGA and HDMI. In both cases can only see the output on the screen till RAM loads up then blank screen. Loaded Puppy Linux from CD-ROM correctly. So seems like X issue. Cannot figure out what. Thanks

Pablo,

Is it possible to have a test version with X version 1.7.4. I believe the correct driver is not being picked up for Intel 945GM. Xorg.cong indicates intel 915. Not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks

Thanks. Did not work on the HDMI output - maybe I do not have the right settings in the conf file to make it work on HDMI output. It did go further along though and started switching between different modes (blank all the time). Also observed the following -

1. For some reason the remote was extra sensitive
2. The screen always had a blue line on the top but I also started getting a flickering green band on the bottom - intermittent.

Will revert back to stable release ans work on the VGA output instead of HDMI output.
