Bump - any ideas?

I know the remote is working as I use bdremote-ng on an ubuntu machine.

Does minimyth bdremote-ng have its own lircrc file that could be conflicting or something like that?

Or is it a pairing problem? This is for a RAM based mini myth - so no idea how it saves information like that. I'd be quite willing to move over to NFS if that may help.

Ah - made some progress.

The remote was working all along - the problem I had was the lircrc file.

THe setup in minimyth uses proper lirc namespace keys, such as KEY_1 , KEY_2 , KEY_3 etc..

I had assumed (wrongly) that as minimyth used bdremote-ng it would be using its names for keys - examples : num1, num2 , num3 ....

Upon disabling fetch lircrc it all worked pretty well.

Now I want to use a custom lircrc file so I can map the buttons to my liking.

Hope the above info help someone - a good trick to see if your remote is talking to the computer is to login via telnet and use irw and see if you have any output.

With bdremote-ng 0.5, bdremote-ng supports the LIRC namespace (using the -l command line option).

Even though my bluetooth dongle claims to support it, I was never able to get this to work. I would love to know if anyone was able to get it to work as well.
