New build fails booting on the system with USB audio

Post by YuChem » Sat May 08, 2010 3:59 pm

I was trying to fix UTF characters file issue as described in viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2562&p=12870&hilit= ... tf8#p12864 downloaded new beta 22.73b9. It fails to boot on the system working with no problem on build 22.72
It looks like the problem might be in audio configuration. My onboard audio is disabled, I use external USB speakers Logitech Z-10

this is what I have found in messages log:

Code: Select all

May 8 00:08:57 (none) local0.info minimyth: configuring audio ...
May 8 00:09:07 (none) local0.err minimyth: the audio driver does not appear to be loaded.

Could you post the output of lsusb?

Odd. Could you try it with test version 73b10?

You're good!
New build 73b10 works just great, the cyrillic font issue has been resolved as well.

BTW, I have noticed one issue with sound: when playing video library with mplayer, sound controls do not work. The level idicator on the screen moves from mute to 100% but sound level stays the same. It looks like this started when I first installed 0.22 build. I have jumped from 0.21 - 68 to 0.22 build 72.
Any advice? not urgent though.

Thank you
