Problems with cifs after upgrade

Hi, I recently upgraded to minimyth-0.25-81 and immediately had problems getting my cifs volumes to mount.

Code: Select all

MM_MEDIA_VIDEO_URL="cifs://ash/movies?credentials=/etc/cifs/credentials_cifs"

Code: Select all

Aug 25 21:15:06 (none) local0.info minimyth: mounting media shares ...
Aug 25 21:15:06 (none) user.err kernel: CIFS VFS: signing required but server lacks support
Aug 25 21:15:06 (none) user.err kernel: CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -95
Aug 25 21:15:06 (none) local0.err minimyth: '/mnt/video' failed to mount.
The last version of minimyth (0-24.1-78) worked w/o problems. Is there something I need to do to turn off signing?

As a workaround, I also tried using NFS, but this is giving me problems as well.

Code: Select all

MM_MEDIA_VIDEO_URL="nfs://ash/mnt/user/movies?vers=3"

Code: Select all

Aug 25 21:01:53 (none) local0.err minimyth: '/mnt/video' is not readable by user 'minimyth'.
I can see the directory from the command line as user minimyth. However, the test that results in the above message does return 0 for some reason?

Code: Select all

root@elm:/mnt/video # su -c 'test ! -r /mnt/video' - minimyth; echo $?
0
Any help would be appreciated!
mike

I hade the same problem. Adding

Code: Select all

server signing = auto
to my smb.conf fixed this. Default is disabled
