83b1 no video

Just tested the 831b1. This boots much much faster than the 82. Problem: the X-server exits after it has built the mode list. This means it ends with a black TV screen.
The X-server log ends with this:
[3254251.045] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0):
[3254251.584] (II) evdev: MCE IR Keyboard/Mouse (mceusb): Close
[3254251.584] (II) UnloadModule: "evdev"
[3254251.584] (II) evdev: 2.4G Wireless Touchpad Keyboard: Close
[3254251.584] (II) UnloadModule: "evdev"
[3254251.584] (II) evdev: 2.4G Wireless Touchpad Keyboard: Close
[3254251.584] (II) UnloadModule: "evdev"
[3254251.796] Server terminated successfully (0). Closing log file.

I am getting the same thing on 2 different frontends, I haven't looked into it but I think the xinit is actually broken rather than the x server. I haven't had the time to debug though.

This may be a coincidence but I'm seeing exactly the same behaviour on both my via boards using 83b1 and latest SVN. Do you have any unusual output in dmesg ? Just before X shuts down I get DRM errors from the kernel :

[drm:via_build_sg_info] *ERROR* Invalid DRM bitblt alignment
