minimyth + via mii10000 boot woes with 0.20 versions...

Post by pj » Mon Dec 11, 2006 6:40 am

I ftfp ram boot and the last 2 lines are ONLY "INIT entering runlevel: 5" and "INIT there are no more proccesses left in this runlevel" and NO GUI. I've added the debug=yes to the pxelinux.cfg/default, but there are NO noticable errors.

ANY clues???? I've google'd my guts out! In the .19 version I only had to correct timezone and "MM_HARDWARE_MOTHERBOARD=VIA_EPIA_MII" basically.

I had a working 0.19 setup under FC4... something said, "time for an upgrade". So, FC6 got put onto the mythtv server with a 0.20 version. I know I had to have the same protocol versions for my via MII front end so I tried
ram-minimyth-0.20-21b3-1.33.2
ram-minimyth-0.20-20.tar.bz2
ram-minimyth-svn12156-21b5

The new conf from the html/conf was put in a several of the lines were added.
I have bios using both vga and s-video for output. Only the s-video is currently connected, but both will display.

I must be missing something SIMPLE!!! HELP!!!

The FC6 server is functioning normally, by the way.

Sure, just after my post, I got it to go GUI!!! I think the actual key was likely starting over with a fresh minimyth.conf file. The svn version is not at the same protocol version, but the latest stable version works now!!! So, this looks like one of those stupid users issues.
