Atom Based Boards?

Post by jack » Mon Oct 20, 2008 3:16 pm

My trusty SP-800 started to play up last night - Mythfontend chooses to crash (along with various scary looking errors in dmesg) rather than play any type of media.

Hopefully, this will just turn out to be a minor hardware problem that is easily fixed such as dodgy RAM. If not, I will be looking at replacing my ITX mobo.

I have one of those Atom based mini-laptops and am quite impressed by it's performance.

Is anyone aware of a good fanless Atom based mini ITX mobo with Composite TV output? Try as I might, I can't seem to find anything that ticks all the boxes.

OK, I now know why no-one seems to build a suitable Atom board ;)

Thankfully, it turns out that my problem was jsut a faulty RAM stick and faulty memory. All my tools were telling me that all 192Megs of RAM were fine. I took far too long to remember that I'd put half a gig in there
