intel G45 chipset

Post by seth_keith » Sun Apr 05, 2009 8:23 pm

I am trying to make an intel DG45ID with the G45 chipset and a T4500HD graphics processor work. The LAN works fine but the video is having trouble. Anyone know if this can work or not?

If not, can someone recommend a good intel based motherboard with built in DVI or HDMI?

Intel DG33TL

I have an HD frontend with an Intel DG33TL, works well. I choose to go with the celeron processor, which does have a little trouble with H.264, but I expect with time and intel driver updates for it to (hopefully) get better.

A little trouble with mpeg4? it is totally unwatchable for me with a 2.7 Ghz dual core, how can you even make it so good that you just have a "little trouble"? Please specify what player settings you are using and anything else you did to make it better than "totally unwatchable".

Well... the difference may be in the clips we are attempting to play.

I have the DG33TL w/ a Celeron 2.0GHz. I'm using minimyth, with a default mplayer config (-fs -zoom -quiet -loop 0).

I just downloaded and played the "I Am Legend" 1080p trailer (blu-ray profile) from this website:
http://www.h264info.com/clips.html

There were a couple glitches during playback (1/2 disruption in a/v), but it was definately watchable, and pretty nice looking on my 1080p display.

Does that clip work for you?
