Zotac IONITX-B-E, or dual core?

Post by ChrisD » Sat Jan 30, 2010 3:09 am

Hello folks

I'm think of upgrading my MiniMyth frontend to a Zotac IONITX board.

Will the IONITX-B-E be good enough, or should I go for one of the dual-core versions? I know most of the video work is done by the GPU for normal MythTV viewing, but I'd also like to be able to use BBC iPlayer via MythBrowser.

iPlayer runs on my current 0.22 frontend at about 1 frame every ten seconds, with the audio being repeated in short bursts, and the M6000 EPIA processor running at 98%.

cheers

Chris
