HDMI with Biostar TF7050-M2

Post by osy » Sat Dec 08, 2007 11:12 pm

I have this new Nvidia 7050 based motherboard and run it with an AMD X2 4600+ and 1G of RAM. It works beautifully with my Sanyo PLV-Z4 projector, connected via HDMI. The only X configuration line in the minimyth.conf is MM_X_OUTPUT_DVI='auto'.

MiniMyth version is ram-minimyth-0.20.2-33b2-nvidia-169.04.

I suppose I will still need to try the different modes or TV types, as for a proper 16:9 output I need to set MiniMyth to scale to 4:3. Otherwise, the picture quality of DVB-T broadcasts is very good, clearly better than it was with a set-top box connected with component video. :D

Another to-do is to build a configuration that allows alternating between the projector and a TV set, which accepts composite, S-video, YPbPr and RGB.

Do you know it the 7050 supports low dot clocks (13.5MHz) and interlaced modes, needed for the VGA to Scart trick?

I noticed your question only now, but I am afraid I do not know the answer to it.
