minimyth.conf error in CIFS example

Post by Eduardo » Sun Apr 09, 2006 6:55 am

Just a heads up on the CIFS example in the minimyth.conf file. I was confused for a while, the top generic example is correct while the specific CIFS example has a few errors in it.

Code: Select all

# The URL must have the following form:
# <protocol>://<username>:<password>@<server>/<path>?<options>
# where <options> are additional mount options (-o).
# For example:
# nfs://server.home/home/public/music
# cifs://user@pass:server.home/home/public/music,domain=home
Should Read:

Code: Select all

# The URL must have the following form:
# <protocol>://<username>:<password>@<server>/<path>?<options>
# where <options> are additional mount options (-o).
# For example:
# nfs://server.home/home/public/music
# cifs://user:pass@server.home/share_name?domain=home
The user:password@server reference was wrong (colon and @ interchanged), the suggestion that you can include a path is wrong (you must create a share at the point you want and only reference the share's name), and the options reference/symbol was wrong (comma instead of question mark)
