gugux wrote:Pablo, could you test playing a video with -vo xv options of mplayer and tell me if you have the mouse cursor or not ? That kills me !
When I launch mplayer from a telnet window, I do not see a mouse cursor on my ASUS board. I will test it on my VIA board when I get a chance.
Ok, thanks. Anyway, I think I will recompile everything to see if it still happens.
Ok, Pablo, some news.

I have recompiled everything, now it's 0.19.0.1 version. Still the same problem, really strange. Could it be because xorg fails to initialize GLX module ? It's the only error I get in Xorg.log file. If I grep mouse in xorg.log :

/ $ grep -i mouse /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(==) |-->Input Device "Mouse1"
Using the first mouse device.
(**) Option "AllowMouseOpenFail"
(II) LoadModule: "mouse"
(II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/input/mouse_drv.so
(II) Module mouse: vendor="X.Org Foundation"
(==) NVIDIA(0): Silken mouse enabled
(**) Mouse1: Device: "/dev/input/mice"
(**) Mouse1: Protocol: "PS/2"
(**) Mouse1: Core Pointer
(==) Mouse1: Emulate3Buttons, Emulate3Timeout: 50
(**) Mouse1: ZAxisMapping: buttons 4, 5, 6 and 7
(**) Mouse1: Buttons: 11
(II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Mouse1" (type: MOUSE)
(II) Mouse1: ps2EnableDataReporting: succeeded

Anything you see which seems strange ?

Anyway, it's not a big deal as -vo sdl mode works with mplayer so ...

Oh, something strange (and new to 0.19.0.1) : an audio group is needed in /etc/group for proper initialization of audio when mplayer is launched. I don't know if you have already seen that ?

Anyway, my non-via minimyth works pretty well now, thanks in all cases, that's a really neat work you do !

I have not seen this. What audio driver are you using?
MiniMyth running on an Acer ApireRevo 3610 and a Zotac ZBOX-ID80-U. Find out more at my MythTV page.

I use the module snd_intel8x0 (is that the information you need ?)
