Hi guys,
after confirming boot: prompt appears this strange message:
daemon.err udevd-work[1127]: kernel-provided name 'sda' and NAME= 'disk-minimyth' disagree, please use SYMLINK+= or change the kernel to provide the proper name
but, after while booting continues and all looks o.k.
MiniMyth version 0.23.1-73b12, Epia ME6000
Any Idea?
kernel issue

Re: kernel issue
udev has been planning to drop device renaming for some time. I guess it is time to change the init scripts.

Re: kernel issue
Pablo,
I have recently updated (from 0.23.1-73b12) to the 0.23.1-73 stable version.
I had a similar problem to this; the effect in my case was that it would boot, but the DVD drive was inaccessible. After the update, the problem remains. The error message also remains the same:
udevd-work[621]: kernel-provided name 'sr0' and NAME= 'dvd-sr0' disagree, please use SYMLINK+= or change the kernel to provide the proper name
Any suggestions on a workaround for this one?
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
in stable version, this message remains:

Re: kernel issue
This should be fixed by 7114. It will be in the next test build. I did not change it before the release because it appears to be only a warning at this point and the change is somewhat invasive.
