ramdisk: image too big

Post by maxxx » Tue Feb 23, 2010 10:27 am

Get the following messages during boot:

RAMDISK: image too big! (72486KiB/4096KiB)
No filesystem could mount root
Kernel panic - not syncing VFS: Unable to mount fs on unknown-block(1,0)

I have booted with kernel-option ramdisk_size=96000!!!
(ram-minimyth-0.22.0-72)

I have tried booting from a usb-stick and flash-module with extsys from a ext3-partition, ldsys from a fat32-partiton and grub from both with the same results.

Can someone help me?

Per http://www.minimyth.org/document-faq.html the proper solution is to increase your ramdisk_size to something larger e.g. 128000
